Smoky Onion Dip

Creamy caramelized onions blended with our Roasted Tomato Salsa makes an addictive “gotta have another bite” dip to please any crowd gathered around your table!

1 lb. onion, peeled and sliced

3 tablespoons butter

1 ½ teaspoons salt

½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper

1 tablespoon sherry or sherry vinegar

8 ounces sour cream

8 ounces mayonnaise

½ cup My Brother’s Roasted Tomato Salsa

Chives for garnish


Sauté onion in butter, add salt/pepper while sautéing.  Cook until onions soften and just begin to carmelize. Deglaze pan with sherry.  Place sautéed onions in food processor with sour cream, mayo, My Brother’s Roasted Tomato Salsa.  Blend to desired consistency.  Chill until ready to serve. Garnish with chives.  Serve with chips or crostini.
